Ed was a Texan, a rodeo rider, and in the oil business. He was a builder, and in law enforcement, in the space program, a restauranteur, in health care and more. He was a graduate of Texas Christian University and an avid follower of the Horned Frogs. Charles Edgar Jackson spent his last evening, February 10th, at home with his wife Bo (Mary), family and best friend, their dog Bailey. Ed Jackson is now out of the pain he has suffered for so long and resting with our most gracious God. He loved his church Morton Memorial UMC in Monteagle and all who attend there.

He is preceded in death by his brother Patrick Jackson and adopted son, Stevie Herron.
A Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at 2:30 PM at Morton Memorial UMC in Monteagle, Tennessee. A visitation with the family will be from 1:30 PM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Music Program at Morton Memorial UMC.
