Obituary of Christa Marie Sells

Christa Marie Sells, age 79, of Monteagle, Tennessee, passed away February 3, 2023. She was born May 16, 1943, in East Germany to the late Johannes and Gertrude Wald. She is also preceded in death by her sisters, Lisa Siebeck and Irmgard Wurdak and stepsons, Anthony and Elvis Sells. She liked to crochet, bake, work crossword puzzles and enjoyed going to the Senior Center and playing Scrabble with her senior friends. She loved her animals and especially loved her family. Christa is survived by her husband, Steve Sells Sr.; children, Heidi (James Boggs) Johnson, Robert (Joyce) Henn, and Dorothy (Donny) Ray; stepson, Steve (Alicia) Sells Jr.; grandchildren, Jennifer (Todd) Meloy, Brandy (Cody) Dyer, Sara (Andy) Pearson, and Jon-Michael Mansfield; step-grandchildren, Courtnee Sells, Deanna (Bailey) Willis, Tyler Sells; step-great grandsons, Will, Xander, and Tanner Jackson; great-grandchildren, Juliana and Ahren Cifuentes, Bryleigh Dyer, Charli Kate Pearson, and Rory Pearson; step great great grandson, Jackson Tate; sister, Elfriede Gallus; "little brother" Ferdi (Gaby) Wald and other German family members, and a special best friend, Mary Scissom. A Memorial Service will be held February 18, 2023, at 2 PM at Cumberland Funeral Home - Monteagle, Tennessee, with Pastor James Taylor officiating.
