Q: What will you never forget about Hank?
A: I will never forget the time when our sister, Johnnie Louise Metcalfe, passed away. When it came time for me to view our sister Johnnie for the last time Hank took my hand and walked down the church with me. We walked hand in hand until we were outside beside my car with my husband. Hank has always been my kind and loving brother. He had some hard times but I could always talk to him.

Q: What was Hank like as a child?
A: I can remember my brother Hank once when he was about six years old. I was about seven and we liked to walk around on the strip mines across from our home in Flat Branch, TN. It was during the winter time and we were hungry. Hank found a frozen dead bird and said,
" I want to take this bird to mama so she can cook it for meat." Our father worked in the coal mines and was gone for days. There were six children at home in the early 1950's and times were hard.
