Robert, you and I were always in trouble because we fought all the time. Can not remember what ever fought about. I remember going to grandpa Smith and playing g in the barn across the road. We had a blast and still got in trouble. When we went to grand Godfrey’s we would climb the trees in front by the road or in the field beside the house. Miss those days.
Love you more than you know bro. Debbie

To my loving brother:
Robbie, I remember the few summers that we spent at Grandpa Smith's farm. You, Debbie, and I would go running up the hill of the driveway and go out of the gate on the right. We would run down and pick all the blackberries and raspberries we could eat until our fingers turned purple. Then we climbed back up and went over the rest of the hill and down to the stream. As we walked by the stream, we hunted for goose eggs and mushrooms to take back to give to grandma. We continued to follow the stream until we reached our grandparents' house. I remember we would watch grandma take a chicken and do that flip she could only do: the one where the head would tear off in her hand and the rest of the chicken would be running headless around the farm. I remember running away from the headless chicken as it sometimes started chasing us. That's the same chicken we later enjoyed for dinner as grandma always made the best fried chicken! Somedays, we would walk down to the creek and swim in our underwear. We laughed and giggled all day until we had to go back to the house.
These are the some of my favorite carefree memories that I have with you, Debbie & I. A time of no worries and only joy. Here you are again, carefree, without worries, and at peace.
Love you tons, Gail

Robert we were always in trouble because we fought all the time. Can’t remember what we were fighting about. I remember when we went fishing and I caught a crab almost grabbed it and it fell off not if if fell close to you or Gail, that was in Okinawa. We had some good times wherever we were.
I love you more than you will know. Debbie

“Time for a break and a beer!”, Bob would say as he walked up the driveway with a 12-pack of beer – always a smile on his face. Bob was the best at making a visit a “special event”. We were neighbors, and saw Bob (and Cindy – and typically Urban, their dog) at least a couple times a week. Spring, summer, fall or winter, Bob always arrived ready to relax, share in the happenings of life, and creating a “let’s laugh” occasion. Those are wonderfully memorable times.
Bob was the type of person that was not a stranger for long. He had a way of making anyone feel at ease almost immediately. He was usually smiling, laughing, or instigating with the sole purpose of having a good time. Bob could get me going on crazy, silly stories by throwing out a little comment that he knew would get me going. I loved it!!
Even though Bob was the life of the party, he was a very intelligent, passionate person that shared in serious discussions. Shying away from anything was not Bob’s style – he was gentle, but direct in his opinions and outlook. He was a very serious person as he planned and lived his life, but he didn’t let that bog down his ability to enjoy life to the fullest.
Bob shared his humor, his support, his friendship and, yes – his beer – openly and willingly. Bob wanted to have a good time. He made everyone around him want to have a good time. He (and Cindy) were (are) the best friends, the best neighbors, and the best people I have ever known. I miss Bob immensely, and can only imagine the loss Cindy and Josh are feeling.
After every visit, Bob would walk back down the driveway with that same smile on his face, often chuckling at the last interaction of the visit. I will always remember Bob, not with sadness in my heart, but with the joy of having known him.
Everyone that knew him will miss his smiling face, his silly sense of humor, and his absolute devotion to his family and friends. I will miss him dearly, but I will count my blessings daily to have had the honor to know him as a neighbor, a friend and as an inspiration on how to enjoy the life we have.

Dear Uncle Robert,
We didn't see each other often, but every time we did, it was always a blast! You truly were, and let's be honest, you probably still are, the life of the party! I remember when you and Aunt Cindy let me stay in your home for a few days. Y'all took me in, you showed me around your workplace and around town, and never failed to hand me a nice cold one! I remember when you came to my graduation party and always had a smile on your face and could always hang with us! I also remember when you came to visit us one day and we went to Wild Wing Cafe and just laughed and laughed all night! I wish we had spent more time together enjoying an ice-cold beer, but I will forever cherish all of our memories. I wish you could have met my son in person, I know you would have made him laugh, too! I know right now you're resting in paradise, probably on a beach in Cancún enjoying all the beers next to grandma and grandpa (tell them I said hello) or on a golf course striking a hole-in-one. Here is a picture of that great night at Wild Wing Cafe where we laughed and laughed all night! I love you forever, Uncle Robert. Cheers!
With much love,
Your (favorite) niece Tina and your great nephew Eli

Bob was the BEST Director a team could have. He had our backs, no matter what and in return, we strived everyday to make him proud of us. He loved us all, and we knew it. We all love him, and he knew it as well.
For me personally… he took me under his wing from day one. He coached and developed me from a leader with little confidence to a strong leader with a successful team. I contribute my current success because of Bob’s strong leadership.
Leader like Bob are very hard to find. He’s will forever be in our hearts.

I couldn’t agree more with you, Angelia! Bob was the greatest mentor and I will always appreciate his kindness, guidance and generosity. We are all very lucky to work with Bob and even luckier to consider Bob our work family. I will miss his smile and energy. He will always be here for us through our happiest memories.

Cindy, You and Bob have been in our thoughts and prayers since first learning of his illness.
I met Bob in 1985 as he was my interviewer for a job I was applying for. I could see during the interview he was someone that didn't mince words and was a straight shooter. I was hired and I was involved with Bob for the next 15 years either as an employee, co-worker, or friend. I learned so much from Bob which helped me grow at my job which enabled me to grow in my career. I've always credited Bob as the one who launched my career and his tutoring will never be forgotten.
It is was an honor to work for and with Bob. I wish Bob had the opportunity to enjoy retirement longer with you and family. No one worked harder than Bob. He knew every aspect of the businesses he was involved with from which I benefited. I will truly miss my mentor.

Cindy - Such a beautiful tribute, so perfectly Bob. You and Robert (Bob) have been in my thoughts and prayers since hearing of his illness, only a short time ago. Upon taking out my Christmas decorations from my attic, the week of 12/12, I was “gifted” two items: a glass snowman decoration that was given to me from you many Christmas’s ago I that place out every year, this year among angels….and one packet of pictures that was oddly sitting on top of Christmas bins. Upon reviewing those pictures, I discovered a STM/newly BARD company picnic. YES, Robert was the life of the party….and seen here, the LOVE of his life, was right by his side. Much love to you, Josh and all of his family. Soar High, Bob. You served us all in many ways & we appreciate all you did throughout your careers, dedication, and for truly making a difference for others.
