Mrs. Brookman was also my 2nd grade teacher at MES. I have many memories of and with this special lady. One of my favorites was while I was in here class. I had an illness and had to go to Babptist Hospital for surgery
When I woke up in my room the first thing I saw was a bright yellow mug with a sunflower on the front of it and yellow and white daisies filling the mug along with 2 Get Well Balloons and a "from them heart" note to me with her love and well wishes. I cherished that mug and her so very much. She will always hold a very special place in my heart. She always went above and beyond for her students and I know she made this little scared 2nd grader feel special and loved. She will be missed by so many but I know that's 1 day, all her students and she will be united in love. I can't wait. I hope that over the years, I have given back to her and did my best to let her know just how special she was.

Mrs Brookman was one of my absolute favorite teachers. Every day she showed such caring and kindness to all of her students. My heart goes out to her family. She will be a very special angel in heaven.

I am so sorry to hear of Mrs.Brookman’s passing. She was my second grade teacher and I just love her. She was the best teacher I had. My husband lived in greentown and she would tell me stories actually that was the first place she taught school. It was a one room school so she had several students of different ages! Years later she would still know who I was. She is a precious lady. I just found out she passed last night or I would have been there. The family is in my thoughts and prayers!

We were so sad to hear of her passing. Ms. Brookman was one of the nicest, kindest people we've ever known. She taught our youngest daughter, Kelly, in the second grade. When Kelly was in the hospital for eye surgery, Ms. Brookman sent a card and a stuffed toy for her. What a nice thing for a teacher to do! Every time we saw her, even years after she retired, she would always ask about Kelly. Education lost a great teacher when she retired and the world has now lost a truly wonderful person. We loved her, as everyone who knew her did I'm sure.

One of the greatest teachers I feel honored to have had her in my life. I’ll always remember standing at the board practicing that cursive writing. She always remembered her students by name when we would meet at the Post Office & she even taught my daughter & would ask me “how’s my girl”? They don’t make them like that anymore. I love you Mrs. Brookman. Thank you for my education & friendship.
