Dear Pat, I was so sorry to hear about Myrna's death. I know she fought dying for a long time. I will miss her, she was such an important person in the Sewanee Woman's Club, and that is where i got to know the both of you. I enjoyed eating at Tea on the Mountain, she was so friendly, and the food was so good. God Bless, love, Chris Lotti

Our prayers and thoughts are with Pat and his family as they grieve the loss of a wife, mother, and grandmother. I have rarely met a more kind and loving person as Myrna and we cherished her friendship and loved going to Tea on Mountain every time we were in town. We loved the food that was created with love for the people Myrna and Pat loved and we enjoyed Pat's stories of early Sewanee years. Regretfully, Chicago was just so far away, otherwise wed be at Tea every week. Truly heaven has gained a new angel. With our love, John and Janet

Jerry and I are deeply saddened by our community's loss. When I first came to Sewanee as a student, we boys were all agog over the beautiful young hostess at the Sewanee Inn. To our dismay, however, she soon left her position to marry Pat. I never would have guessed that decades later she and Pat would return to give me, Jerry, and so many others wonderful memories created at their elegant teahouse. For years she and Pat hosted our bridge club. Their exquisite dishes and their graciousness exceeded anything we could have imagined. And our granddaughter Laura White still remembers their high tea as one of the highlights of her young life. Indeed, we and so many others painfully realize that the Mountain has lost one of its brightest lights.
