Barbara Ann Byers, age 82, of Pelham, Tennessee, passed away November 29, 2022. She was born September 18, 1940, in Sewanee, Tennessee to the late Columbus and Sallie Jacobs Green. In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Byers; granddaughter, Ashley Leanne Byers; brothers, Herman and James Green; sisters, Martha Gilliam and Sarah McGregor.
Barbara enjoyed church, singing, crafts and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of the Monteagle Church of Christ.
She is survived by her sons, Bobby (Audrey) Byers and Dennis (Tammy) Byers; grandchildren, Derek (Stephanie) Byers, Josh (Kara) Byers, Brianna (Joseph) Wilhelm, Jonathan Byers, Robert (Samantha) Byers, and Kim (Dustin) Holmes; great-grandchildren, Jacob Byers, Avery Byers, Adalyn Byers, Hayden Byers, Koen Byers, Kyln Byers, Krislen Byers, and Leighton Edwards; brothers, John T. Green and Joe Green; and sisters, Susie Kilgore, Katherine Owensby, and Mary Green.
The Funeral Service will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Cumberland Funeral Home, Monteagle, Tennessee with Zack Sherrill officiating. Burial will follow at Monteagle Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 11 – 2 until time of service on Thursday.
