Obituary of Lynda Ann Evans

Lynda Ann Evans, age 80, of Tracy City, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2022. She was born August 13, 1942, to the late Edward “Tojo” and Theona Cunningham Nunley. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lee Dell Evans; infant brother, Mike Nunley; and friends, Judy Ervin and Betty Sue Campbell. Lynda loved to cook and spend time with her family. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tracy City. She is survived by her son, Lee “Buddy” Evans; grandchildren, Lee Evans II and Kaitlyn (Allen) Witzel; great-grandchildren, Preston, Sabrina, Scout, and Charly Witzel; brother, Bill Porter (Shirley) Nunley; nephew, Josh Nunley; aunt, Mary Francis Land; and the most wonderful friends in the world, Martha Rose Arnold, Barbara Myers, Mary Katherine Hillis, Carlene Mayes, and Bill Moon. A Memorial Service will be Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at Cumberland Funeral Home – Foster and Lay Chapel in Tracy City at 2:00 PM with Bro. Claude Hoback and Bro. Kyle Floyd officiating. Burial will follow at Plainview Cemetery. A visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 AM on Wednesday until time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made towards the funeral expenses.
