Obituary of Tana Terrill Lowrie

Tana Terril Lowrie, age 71, of Monteagle, passed away November 16, 2022, peacefully at her home. She was born December 1, 1950, in Sewanee to Freeland “Peg” Terrill, Sr. and Irene “Babe” Elizabeth Long Terrill both of whom preceded her in death. Ms. Lowrie was an avid reader and loved her dogs. She loved celebrating the holidays with her family and, being the giving person she was, getting to give them gifts. Nothing made her happier than her children and grandchildren. Tana is survived by her children, Trina (BJ) Rose, Ryan Lowrie, Beth (Parrish) Cragar, David (Missy) Lowrie; grandchildren, Patrick Lowe, Jill (Tristan) Witt, Tyler (Julie) Rose, Hank Lowrie, AJ (Rachel) Cragar, Amy (Joey) Luzadder; 8 great grandchildren also survive. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Lowrie, and her brother Freeland “Cooney” Terrill, Jr. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Cumberland Funeral Home. There will be a period of visitation with the family prior to the service from 11 AM until time of service. A burial will follow immediately at the Eastern Star Cemetery.
