Obituary of George Edward Curtis

George Edward Curtis, age 84, of Tracy City, Tennessee, passed away November 7, 2022. He was born on June 14, 1938, to the late Hershel Deewitt Curtis and Addie Louise Sweeton Curtis. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Kevin Curtis; grandson, Murphy Nunley; granddaughter, Haley Curtis; and brother, Robert Alan Curtis. George loved old country music and he loved trucks; he would talk about them all the time. He is survived by his wife, Connie Curtis; children, Patricia Nunley, Paul Gregory Curtis, and Tania Curtis (Martin Layne); grandchildren, Chasity and Charlie Nunley, Felicia and Tony Bean, Marshall Curtis, Timothy Curtis (Veda), Josh Curtis, Jeremiah Curtis (Felicia), and Brenna Nunley; sixteen great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; brother, Ronnie Deewitt Curtis; and sister, Nancy Jean Kilgore. The Funeral Service will be Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Cumberland Funeral Home – Foster and Lay Chapel at 1 PM with Bro. Barry Nolan officiating. Burial will follow at Bonny Oak Cemetery. A visitation with the family will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2022, from 5 – 8 PM.
