Mary Christine Parson, age 88, of Tracy City, Tennessee, passed away Friday, October 14, 2022. She was born August 18, 1934, to the late Tom and Maude Shrum Melton. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Garland Parson; daughter, Linda Parson; brother, Charlie David Melton; sisters, Lorene and Helen Melton; and nephew, Dave Melton.
Christine loved her animals and liked to work in her vegetable garden and flower garden.
She is survived by her daughter, Diana (Jamey) Chernicky; grandchildren, Tara Chernicky and Taya Parson; great grandchildren, Jonathan Chernicky and Sebastian Abeare; nephews, Tom, Henry, Wayne, and Bill Melton; and niece, Ginny Hughes.
Graveside services will be Monday, October 17, 2022, at Clouse Hill Cemetery at 2:30 PM with Dr. Clayton Jones officiating.
Visitation with the family will Monday, October 17, 2022 from 12-2 PM at Cumberland Funeral Home, Monteagle, Tennessee.
