Obituary of Freddie Scott

James “Freddie” Freddrick Scott: October 31st, 1951 – September 30th, 2022. On Friday, September 30th, 2022, Freddie passed away at Emerald Hodgson Hospital. He was 70 years old and was born to the late Thelma Jean Partin and the late Lewis Earl Scott. He is survived by his loving and patient wife, Rita Sue Mayes-Scott of Pelham; his sons, Jeremy York (Melissa) of Shelbyville and Michael James Scott of Texas; step-son, Rickey Sells (Samantha) of Jacksonville; step-daughter, Holly McClure (Johnny) of Belvidere; grandchildren, Corey, Cheyenne, Julie, Lyla, and Lucy; sister, Sharon Nunley (Frankie) of Pelham; brother, Eddie Scott (Christine) of Estill Springs; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved him dearly. Freddie was a well-known truck driver and a heavy equipment operator for most of his life. He also served in the Marine Corp and enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be missed! A Memorial and Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, October 9th, 2022, at Providence Methodist Church in Pelham from 1-4 PM. Everyone is welcome!
