Obituary of Eddie Jewell Rhea

Eddie Jewell Rhea, age 82, of Tracy City, Tennessee, passed away September 18, 2022. He was born March 15, 1940, to Fred and Leaoma Fults Rhea. In addition to his parents, Eddie is preceded in death by his loving wife of forty-five years, Mary Ruth Lowe Rhea; sister, Jackie Rhea; and a niece, Kimberly Melton Hall. Eddie attended Bakers Chapel Church. He worked for Carrier for over thirty years before retiring. He is survived by his nephews, Steve (Kim) Melton of Tracy, Jack Lowe of Jasper and Tim (Lisa) Orange of Tracy; niece, Sherry (Terry) Caldwell of Coalmont; great nieces, Randi (Jeremy) Burdick and Jessica (Clayton) Rothwell; great nephews, Blake (Jennifer) Orange, Ethan (Miranda) Orange, Shawn Caldwell, and Travis Caldwell; sister-in-law, Mildred Melton; and a very special friend, Connie (Audrey) Cox. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at Cumberland Funeral Home – Foster and Lay Chapel in Tracy City at 2:00 PM with Bro. Larry Layne officiating. Burial will follow at Plainview Cemetery. A visitation with the family will be Tuesday from 4 – 9 P.M.
