Mary Kathleen “Kay” Geary, age 97, of Tracy City, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2022. She was born September 10, 1924, to the late Leck and Lula Davis Pickett. Mrs. Kay had five generations of family and she was a member of the Gruetli Laager Church of Christ. Some of her favorite hobbies were to paint, sew, and craft. She loved planting flowers and watching birds.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ned C. Geary; a son, Ned C. Geary Jr.; two grandchildren, David Meeks and Sarah D. Heubi; four great grandchildren, Kevin Sanders, Jamey Sanders, Thomas Lockhart, and Ryan Heubi; and eight siblings.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Geary Parsons (Cumberland Heights) and Kathy Heubi (Monteagle); a special daughter, Vicki Sanders; five grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; twelve great-great grandchildren; one sister, Nellie Adams (New York); two sister-in-laws, Ida Mae Pickett and Trixie Pickett; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Poocher.
Graveside services will be Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Plainview Cemetery at 2 PM with Michael Geary officiating.
