Obituary of Hazel Isabell Kilgore

Hazel Isabell Kilgore, age 95, of Tracy City, Tennessee, passed away August 25, 2022. She was born to the late Hubert and Martha Shrum Kilgore on July 14, 1927. She loved going to church and attended several churches in the area. She also loved to sew, quilt, sing, play the guitar or piano, cook, and rock babies. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her former husband and father of her fourteen children, Leon Crisp; brothers, Thomas Kilgore, Phillip Kilgore, and Paul Kilgore; and sisters, Margie Baker and Virginia Adams; grandsons, Chris Haynes, Jamey Meeks, Jeremy Meeks, and Alan Crisp; granddaughters, Rhonda Fults, Natalie Martin, and Christy Meeks; great-grandchildren, Joshua Hampton, Whitney Gipson, Dustin Nunley, Trey Fults, and Kasey Fults; daughter-in-laws, Linda Crisp and Evelyn Crisp; son-in-laws, Perry Haynes, Stephen Eldridge, and Wayne Meeks; and granddaughter-in-law, Tanya Crisp. She is survived by her fourteen children, Anthony (Helen) Crisp, Ophelia (Ricky) Williams, Darlene (Richard) Blazier, Lloyd Crisp, Jerry (Carolyn) Crisp, Martha (Billy Ray) Nunley, Naomi (Brent) Parsons, Rebecca (Johnie) Hobbs, Shirley Kay Crisp, Faron (Jana), Sheila (Bobby) Geary, Sara (Mike) Scott, Angelia Crisp, and Nathan Crisp; thirty-one grandchildren; thirty-seven great-grandchildren with two more on the way; several great-great grandchildren; sister, Beulah Hannah (Michigan City, Indiana); sister-in-laws, Grace Kilgore and Beatrice Kilgore; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be Sunday, August 28, 2022, at Cumberland Funeral Home – Foster and Lay Chapel in Tracy City at 2 PM with Bro. Ralph Shrum and Bro. Josh Layne officiating. Burial will follow at Pryor Ridge Cemetery. A visitation with the family will be held Saturday from 5-8 PM.
