Obituary of Joyce Yvonne Baggenstoss

Joyce Yvonne Baggenstoss, age 85, of Tracy City, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2022. She was born in White City, TN to the late William Monroe and Lena Rivers Byers on September 13, 1936. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Baggenstoss; siblings, Jewell Willene Byers, Ruth Byers Baker, James Edward Byers, Charles William Byers, Stanley Leon Byers, and Mildred Kathleen Byers; cousin, Jim Byers; and a special friend, Ray Sartain. Yvonne loved to sing and sang in the Junior Grand Ole Opry along with Betty Jo Gross and Joan Nunley as the “Three J’s”. She attended Bethel Community Church and Myers Hill First Congregational Methodist Church. She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Emil Baggenstoss and Malcolm “Rick” Baker III; grandchild, James Dylan Harris; siblings of James Dylan, Alexis and Colton Harris; niece, Janice Price; cousins, Kevin Sweeton and Ricky Caldwell; and many more nieces, nephews, and family members. The family would like to thank all the relatives and friends who have been supportive and helped the past few years and would also like to extend a special thanks to all the staff at Amedysis Hospice. The funeral service will be Saturday, August 27, 2022, at Cumberland Funeral Home – Foster and Lay Chapel in Tracy City at 2 PM with Bro. Claude Hoback and Bro. Barry Nolan officiating. Burial will follow at Plainview Cemetery. A visitation with the family will be on Friday from 5-9 PM.
