Obituary of Valerie Lynn Shank

Valerie Lynn Shank, age 63, of Tracy City, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2022. She was born in Muskegon, Michigan to the late Charles and Maxine Wells Berry on January 18, 1959. She was a member of the Myers Hill First Congregational Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, playing games, and traveling. She loved her animals and especially loved her family and never met a stranger. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Dennis and Stephen Berry. She is survived by her husband, Patrick Shank; brother, Alan Berry; sisters, Connie Albright and Cathy Thompson; she was a godmother to Myka Johnson; special niece, DeeDee Berry; several nieces and nephews; a very near and dear friend, Christopher Dale Meeks; and a best friend of 50 years, Naomi Johnson. A visitation with the family will be Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at Cumberland Funeral Home – Foster and Lay Chapel in Tracy City from 1-2 PM with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM with Pastor Dennis Rollins officiating.
