My sincerest condolences to Phoebe's family. After my mother, Anne Strehlow Vance, passed away in 2018, I continued the exchange of Christmas cards that those two cousins had done for many, many years. I always loved reading Phoebe's newsy letter though I had never met any of you. After reading her obituary, now I know why her letters were so enjoyable...and newsy! I forwarded a photo to Becky of your folks taken at Grandma and Pop's house on Moss Avenue in 1967 when my parents and I were visiting from Arizona. I had the joy of sitting next to your mother for dinner that evening. That is the one and only time I remember meeting your folks. Happy memories of times spent with the Strehlow clan.
