Gwenda Rae Carter, age 84, of Tyler TX, passed away Saturday, May 14th, 2022. She was born in Bynum Texas to the late L. D. and Hattie Louise Huse Sonnenberg on November 23rd, 1937. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by sons, Howard Douglas Robertson and an infant son, Robert Dale Robertson; and brothers, Harold J Sonnenberg, and Alvis Sonnenberg.
Gwenda was a strong willed, hardworking, and independent woman who raised three kids as a young, widowed mother and very much loved her family. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Tyler, Texas and she enjoyed fishing and working out in her yard.
She is survived by her son, Rickey Lee Robertson (Narva); daughter, Donna Robertson Barrett (Rodney); grandchildren, Justin Robertson, Clayton Robertson, Jesse Robertson, Logan Ruhs, Lauren Ruhs Bolling, and many more grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
No services are scheduled at this time as her wishes were to be cremated.
