Mr. Charles Rogers Lankford Sr., age 91, of McMinnville TN, passed away Monday, May 2, 2022. He was born in Tracy City TN to the late Charles Douglas and Arvilla Perry Lankford on January 22, 1931. He enjoyed woodworking, setting up remote control trains, and being outdoors. He was a huge Michigan sports fan, especially the Michigan Wolverines and Red Wings.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Clara Louise Rose Lankford; sons, Randy Steven Lankford and Charles Roger Lankford Jr.; and sister, Martha Adele Payne.
He is survived by his son, Rodney (Brenda) Phipps; daughter, Patricia Phipps; daughter-in-law, Andrea Lankford; grandchildren, Alysa Lankford, Tyler Lankford, and Nick Phipps; great grandchild, Ryker Readus; and sister, Mary Ross.
The funeral service will be Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at Cumberland Funeral Home – Foster and Lay Chapel in Tracy City at 2:00 PM with Bro. Danny Coffelt officiating. Burial will follow at Plainview Cemetery. A visitation with the family will begin at 11:00 AM on Wednesday till the time of service.
