Obituary of Shawna Short

Shawna Carol Short age 42 of Coalmont, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2012, in Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Tracy City Chapter 266 and had worked as a teacher's assistant in Grundy County Schools for many years and the Grundy County Sheriff's Department. Shawna was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bill & Ida Short, Jessie Herbert & Nellie Nunley. She is survived by her daughter, Katie Allen; parents, Robert M. "Pop" Short and Virginia Short of Coalmont; brother, Kip (Penny) Short, Tracy City; sisters, Trina (Evan) Nunley of Coalmont and Misha (Harvey) Hammock of Sharpsburg, GA; nieces, Kayla, Samantha, Emily, Trinity, Madison and Jenny Beth; nephews, Kye Donavan and Korey; several aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday in the funeral home chapel. Reverend Clayton Jones and Reverend Larry Campbell will officiate. Burial will be in Coalmont Cemetery.
