Sam Anderson Jr., age 79, of Tracy City, TN, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2022. He was born in Tracy City, TN on October 27, 1942, to the late Sam and Rosa Lee Braden Anderson Sr.
Sam’s favorite pastime was fishing and piddling with junk. He loved to talk and cut up with people, cook, and to work on and shoot guns.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Robert Anderson; brothers, Kirby and Dave Anderson; and sister, Faye Bryant.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Anderson; son, Thomas Anderson (Susie); daughters, Donna Massey (Scott) and April Sanders; grandchildren, Tiffany Williams, Jeremy Winton, Blake Layne, Robbie Anderson, Rebecca Anderson, Anna Anderson, and Cullen Sanders; nine great-grandchildren; and a brother, Herschel Anderson.
The funeral service will be Friday, March 11, 2022, at Cumberland Funeral Home – Foster and Lay Chapel in Tracy City at 2:00 PM with Bro. Dennis Rollins and Ray Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Plainview Cemetery.
Visitation with the family is Thursday, March 10, 2022 at the Funeral Home from 4:00 - 9:00 PM.
