Obituary of Johnny Lee Morris

Mr. Johnny Lee Morris, 61, passed from this life Saturday, March 5, 2022, at his home in Pelham, Tennessee. Johnny was born on March 17, 1960, in Winchester, Tennessee to the late Jessie and Maymie Morris. He is also preceded in death by brother-in-law, George Rogers. Johnny’s passion was trucking, which he had been doing for over 40 years. He also enjoyed logging. He loved being surrounded by his children, grandkids, family and friends. That is when he was the happiest. His hobbies were spending time outdoors, going to truck and tractor pulls, riding razors and weekend getaways. He was a kind and humble man loved by many. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Morris, children; Brad Morris, Josh (Miranda) Alexander, Miranda (Ben) Parson, Shayne Wimley, Austin (Nikki) Morris and Nick (Angela) Morris, grandchildren; Michael Smith, Cameron Morris, Chase Morris, Tate Alexander, Mason Alexander, Silas Alexander, Rylee Morris, Colter Neel, Jixi Morris, Corbin Morris, Rowan Morris, Hunter and Macy Northcutt, great-grandchildren; Emily Morris, Gracelyn Morris, Lakeland Morris, Haislee Cook, and Carter Alexander, brothers; Monroe (Anita) Morris, Scotty (Lisa) Morris and Don (Amy) Morris, sisters; Charlotte (Johnny) Morris and Faye Rogers. A funeral service will be held at Payne’s Cove Church in Pelham on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at 2:00 P.M., with Bro. Tony King officiating. Burial will follow at Payne’s Cove Cemetery.
