Obituary of Thelma Turner Gilliam

Thelma Turner Gilliam,age 80, of Pelham, TN passed from this life Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System in Winchester, Tennessee. Thelma was born on January 17, 1942 in Coalmont, Tennessee to the late Margie Sweeton. She is also preceded in death by her husband Cordell Hull Gilliam, and sister Velma Lowe; brothers, Ray Tipton, Charles Tipton and Bobby Turner. Survivors include daughters; Vicki (Brian) Shook, and Sharon (Jimmy) Morrison, Grandchildren; Alan (Lindsey) Shook, Hunter Morrison, and Austin Morrison, sisters; Brenda Goins, Shirley Carrick, and Sue Collins; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. in the Foster and Lay Chapel of Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Glenn Thomas and others officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Mt Garner Cemetery in Decherd, Tennessee. The family will receive friends for visitation Monday from 5:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
