Obituary of Peggy Jo Parkinson

Ms. Peggy Jo Schwartz Parkinson, age 82, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022, after a brief illness. She was born in Dayton, TN, on April 20, 1939, to Denton Cox and Bertie Lee Cooley Cox, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded by step-father, Louis McCuiston She retired from BASF and spent a great deal of time volunteering with a multitude of organizations. She is survived by her daughters, Tanya (Gerald) McKelvy and Carla Miller, and her Alabama daughters, Linda, Tina, and Nancy; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Katherine Miller, Amanda, Heaven, Sandy, and Tara; several great grandchildren; sister, Carol Hughes; niece and nephews, Amy, Tammy, Robert, and Derrick; and special friends, Liz, Jo Ann and Susan. Also her many wonderful friends at Caldsted. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, John Schwartz, and brother Earl “Bo” Cox. Peggy chose cremation as her final disposition and no services are scheduled at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Caldsted Foundation.
