Obituary of Daniel Wayne Howard
Daniel Wayne Howard, age 73, of Jasper, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Known as “Danny” to all who loved him, was born on July 23, 1948, in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the late Allen Howard and Belva Howard Fletcher. At the age of 25, Danny met a sweet little lady by the name of Kathy, who would later become his wife. Together, they built a beautiful life with their three children, Scottie, Shannon, and Misty. Danny was always a family man and prioritized God and family above all else. He was a devoted and loving husband and father, walking hand in hand with God, and always holding his family near and dear to his heart. His faith and his family always came first in his life. He made sure everyone was taken care of, and they always had plenty of flashlights. He didn’t just make sure his family was taken care of, he was willing to help anyone who needed him, including the neighborhood animals. He was always feeding them and the birds. Everywhere he went he made sure the birds were fed. He also served at TMC's community kitchen every month, being a faithful servant to his community. Danny retired from the trucking industry after putting in more than 30 years of being on the road. After retirement, he enjoyed watching letsdig18 on YouTube. When he wasn’t doing that, he was working on his bulldozer or anything construction. It didn’t matter the project if he and son Scottie could do it together. Over the years, the family discovered a special talent he had of being able to fall asleep anywhere, no matter the situation or location, he could find a way to sneak in a quick nap. However, his greatest joy was his grandchildren.
Danny leaves behind a loving wife of 48 years, Kathy Howard, sons; Scottie (Stephanie) Howard, Dewayne Howard, daughters; Shannon L. (Shannon D.) Henry and Misty Green, grandchildren; Chase, Braeden, Miracle Faith, Mackenzie, Sarah, Alyssa, Pryce, Gage and Stella, and step-sister, Wanda (Ray) Rollins. He is also survived by many friends and loved ones.
A Funeral Service will be held Friday, January 14, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. CST / 2:00 P.M. EST at Trenton Ministry Center, with Pastor Randy Tinker officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.
