Obituary of Tony Lester Turner

Mr. Tony L. Turner of Coalmont, Tennessee passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022, in Southern Tennessee Regional Hospital in Winchester. Tony was preceded in death by his parents, James W. Turner, Jr. and Geraldine Fultz Turner. Tony had worked in construction all of his working life, including construction projects at The University of the South, Bridge Builders and others before becoming self-employed. He was a skilled carpenter, electrician & plumber in residential and commercial construction, re-modeling and repairs. He was a long-time member of the Sportsman’s Club, he had a great knowledge of firearms, gunsmith, knives or reloading ammo. His greatest love was taking care of his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Nettie Jones Turner; children, Kris Tipton and Cindy Rogers; sisters, Wanda Kilgore and Charlene Meeks; brother Jimmy Turner; special nephew, Brian Kilgore; grandchildren, Chasta (Brandon) Nunley, Dakota Morris, Amber Rogers and Aaron Rogers; great-grandchildren, Cade and Bladyn Nunley. His wishes were to be cremate with no services to be held. Arrangements are by Foster & Lay Chapel of Cumberland Funeral Home, 96 Saint Clair Street, Tracy City, Tennessee
