Obituary of Whitney Gipson

Whitney Diane Gipson age 18 of Tracy City passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2011 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Whitney was a Senior at Grundy County High School where she received various awards including the Personal Finance and Science Award. Whitney spent a lot of time drawing which was one of her favorite hobbies. She was preceded in death by her step-father Waylon Dodd and aunt Rhonda Fults. She is survived by her mother Teresa Dodd; grandparents Lloyd and Linda Crisp, all of Tracy City and Roger and Charlene Dodd of Normandy; sisters Kayla Gipson, Shana Gipson, Viktoria Dodd and Erica Lynn Dodd, Tracy City; uncles Stephen (Nancy) Crisp, Allan (Tonia) Crisp; aunts Chastity (Gary) Oliver, Misty (Jerrod) Meeks and Carrie (Duke) Turner; great-grandparents Leon Crisp, Hazel Kilgore and Lucille Shrum; several cousins, great uncles and aunts. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Bill Almond officiating. Burial will be in the Pryor Ridge Cemetery in Tracy City.
