Obituary of Glen Ernest Kilgore

Glen Ernest "Lucky 7" Kilgore, age 79, of Tracy City, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2021. He was born August 18, 1942, to Andrew and Martha Kilgore. In addition, to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Elmer Dwayne Kilgore, James “Rance” Kilgore, and Ernest Ray Kilgore; sisters, Louise Heck and May Seagroves; and grandson, Jody Kilgore. Glen loved to fish and play with his dogs. He liked to watch westerns and work on vehicles. He was always helping anyone in need. He is survived by his loving wife, Sarah Kilgore; children, Glen Allen (Jessica) Kilgore, Jimmy (Treena) Kilgore, Kimberly (Michael) McElroy, Theresa Pickett, Beth Layne, Sherry Layne, Lorrie Layne, and Glenda Kilgore; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; brother, Willie Fults Kilgore; and sister, Carrie Blaylock. The funeral service will be Saturday, November 20th, 2021, at Cumberland Funeral Home – Foster and Lay Chapel in Tracy City at 2:00 PM with Bro. Franklin Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Plainview Cemetery. A visitation with the family will be held at Cumberland Funeral Home on Friday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
