Coalmont, Tennessee – Mrs. Shelby Jean Burrows, 82, passed away Monday October 11, 2021 at her home. She was born in Tracy City, Tennessee on January 2, 1939 to Hembree Brown and Dorothy Haynes Brown who preceded her in death along with her sister, Lora Gay Brown; son-in-law, Darrell Sanders; father and mother-in-law, Melvin and Frankie Burrows.
Shelby was a lifetime member of the Myers Hill 1st Congregational Methodist Church. She served the Church as Secretary and Treasurer for over 40 years.
She is survived by her husband, Stanley Burrows; daughters, Sandy (Derryl) Graham, Karen Meeks and Valerie Sanders; brothers, G.C. (Hazel) Brown, Junior Brown, Nelson (Patsy) Brown and Jerry Brown; sisters, Rose Slatton, Carol Shrum and Gail Curtis; grandchildren, Nick (Anna) Meeks, Dustin (Carrie) Graham, Alex (Christopher) Rhea and Dillon (Heather) Graham; great grandchildren, Drew, Jordan, Drake, Stanley and Mattie; a host of loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday at the Myers Hill 1st Congregational Methodist Church with Minister Larry Campbell officiating with burial to follow in the Coalmont Cemetery.
Visitation: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM Wednesday at the Myers Hill Church.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Youth Ministry at Myers Hill 1st Congregational Methodist Church.
