Obituary of Flona Lee Burnette

Flona Lee Brown Burnette, age 82, of Pelham, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021. She was born September 18, 1939, to Ulysses and Miriam Brown. In addition to her parents, Flona is preceded in death by her late husband, J. D. Burnette; her son, Carl Burnette; and her granddaughter, Billie Faylee Brady. Flona loved to talk to everyone and to sing to children, and enjoyed going to church. She fancied flowers of any kind and especially loved country music, which you could always find playing at her house. She is survived by her daughter, Jackie Morris; grandchildren, John David Morris, Rusty Morris, Brandi Wilhoite, Michael Garrison, Hershell Burnette, John Hunter (Megan) Burnette, and Ashley Binkley; great-grandchildren, Dakota, Josh, Kati, Miriam, Kaydan, Boogie, Caliana, Jace, and Emery Rose. The funeral service will be Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Cumberland Funeral Home in Monteagle at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Summerfield Cemetery. A visitation with the family will be held at Cumberland Funeral Home on Saturday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
