Obituary of Johnny Hamby

Johnny Ray Hamby, age 61 of Tracy City, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. Johnny was born in Sewanee, Tennessee, a son of the late J.R. Hamby and Louise Tate Hamby of Monteagle. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Jake Hamby, niece Kellie Jo King and nephew Phillip David Hamby.
Johnny is survived by his loving wife, Carol Hamby of Tracy City; sisters Sue Hite, Dorraine (Harry) Parmley and Judy Condra, all of Monteagle; Edwina (Terry) Gilliam of Sewanee; brother David (Dianne) Hamby of Belvidere; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 P.M. Sunday at Cumberland Funeral Home with Reverend Matthew Meeks and Reverend Mike Rigsby officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until the time of service.
Arrangements are by Cumberland Funeral Home, Monteagle, Tennessee.
