Obituary of James Willard Dove

James Willard Dove, age 85, of Tracy City, Tennessee passed away Saturday, September 25, 2021. He was born November 8, 1935, to Thomas and Emma Dove. In addition to his parents, Will is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Sally Dove; his son, Gary Dove; and siblings, Thomas Dove Jr., Rachael Meeks, Juanita Campbell, Homer Dove, Herman Dove, and Venelia Ruth Dove. Will did carpentry work with his father, was an Army Veteran, and was a coal miner for many years. He enjoyed being outdoors mowing his lawn. He loved his grandchildren with all his heart and took care of his loving wife until her death on August 30, 2021. He is survived by his children; daughter, Debra Dove Hill; sons, Junior Dove and Jerry Dove; grandchildren, Buddy Lawson, Gary Lawson, Brandy Lawson, Brandon Dove, Macon Dove, Roxanne Melton, and Lindsey Westerfield; great grandchildren, Jacob Lawson, Sophia Rose Lawson, Trevor Meeks, Todd Meeks, Grayson Lawson, Kaylee Lawson, Lukus Lawson, Kennedy Melton, Chandler Melton, Kadon Dove, Tryston Dove, Layklon Dove, Emmarie Dove, Weston Dean Dove, Halee Westerfield, MacKenzie Westerfield, Jadon Westerfield, Hadassah Westerfield, Jaxon Westerfield, and James Westerfield; great great granddaughter, Darla Mae Lawson; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at Cumberland Funeral Home - Foster and Lay Chapel in Tracy City at 2:00 PM with Bro. Bobby Winton officiating. Burial will follow at Plainview Cemetery. A visitation with the family will be held at Cumberland Funeral Home on Monday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
