Obituary of Roger Cecil Seagroves

Roger Cecil Seagroves, age 57, of Tracy City passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, September 16th. He was born at Coffee County General Hospital on October 12, 1963, to the late Cecil and Gladys (Watson) Seagroves. Roger believed in hard work and taking care of his family. He was retired from Pure Milk Co. of Monteagle. Spending time with his grandchildren gave him his greatest joy. Roger was an avid dog lover and enjoyed taking them on their daily truck rides. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 39 years, Wendy Hawkins Seagroves, Tracy City, Sons Mycheall (Sarah) Seagroves, Sewanee, Derek (Britiny) Seagroves, Tracy City, three grandchildren, Gracie, Maeson, Marshall, and granddaughter Madelyn, due in January. Brother Rickey Seagroves, sister Roxanna (Troy) Fults, brother-in-law Waymon Coppinger, all of Tracy City, mother-in-law Hazel Hawkins of Sewanee and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters Brenda Coppinger and Tammy Seagroves, nephew Justin Meeks, and father-in-law Marshall Hawkins. A private memorial service will be held Monday, September 27, 2021 at 4 P.M. with Bro. Danny Coffelt officiating, at the Fiery Gizzard Pavilion for family and close friends. The family requests that if you wish, to donate to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or a dog shelter of your choice.
