Obituary of Lloyd "George" Edward Meadows

Lloyd Edward “George” Meadows, age 57, of Monteagle, Tennessee passed from this life Tuesday, August 24, 2021. He was born September 9, 1963, to Lloyd Ray and Ida Mae Meadows. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his nephews; Justin Anderson, Skylar Copeland, and Brandon Patterson. George was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and spending time with family was his greatest joy. His favorite pastimes were fishing, camping, cooking, and working on vehicles. He is survived by his wife, Starr Meadows; his mother, Ida Mae Meadows; daughters, Brittany Meadows and Katlyn Meadows; grandchildren, Rayna Meadows and Henry Meadows; siblings, Kathy (David) Anderson, Tina Meadows, Amanda (Gary) Meadows, Jamie (Jason) Copeland; sister-in-laws, Pat (Jean) Patterson and Fawn (Greg) Parsons; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The funeral service will be Sunday, August 29, 2021, at Cumberland Funeral Home - Foster and Lay Chapel in Tracy City at 2:00 PM with Bro. Bobby Winton officiating. Burial will follow at Hobbs Hill Cemetery. A visitation with the family will be held at Cumberland Funeral Home on Saturday from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
