Obituary of Eugene "Gene" Haynes

Mr. Eugene "Gene" Haynes age 81 of Tracy City passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga. He was retired from General Motors and attended Myers Hill Congregational Methodist Church. Gene was born on August 21, 1930, a son of the late Vernon Elda Haynes and Edith Kilgore Haynes and was preceded in death by his wife, Rena Haynes; Eva Hernandez, the mother of his children; son Jimmy Michael Haynes; brothers Charles Hayden, James, Don, Randall, Perry and Terry Haynes. Survivors include his children, David E. (Alice) Haynes, Blue Springs, MO., Lisa Ann Wardell, Kansas City, MO., daughter-in-law Connie Haynes, Cleveland, Texas; brothers Kenneth (Ann) Haynes, Larry (Mary) Haynes, both of Tracy City, Gary (Charlotte) Haynes, Monteagle; sisters Carlene (Herschel) Eldridge of Tracy City; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon on Saturday in the funeral home chapel. Reverend Freddie Savage will officiate. Burial will be in Pryor Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5-9 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Foster & Lay Funeral Home, Tracy City, Tennessee.
