Donald Wayne “Catfish” Myers, 48, of Ray City, Georgia, died Tuesday June 1, 2021 at SGMC in Valdosta, GA. He was born November 17, 1972 in Coalmont, Tennessee to the late Donald Ray Myers and Debra Jane Thomas Myers. He was employed as the water / sewer superintendent with the City of Homerville and owned Catfish Customs. He enjoyed all outdoors, racing, and making people laugh. He attended the First Baptist Church of Ray City. He is survived by his wife: Beth Steedley Myers of Ray City; two daughters: LaRissa (Christian) Korp of Hill Air Force Base, Utah and Madison Morgan of Ray City; son: Mason Morgan of Ray City; mother: Debra Myers of Tracy City, Tennessee; sister: LaDonna (Nathan) Smith of Tullahoma, Tennessee; 3 grandchildren: Drennon Korp, Aubree Korp and Kayson Korp; 3 nieces: Alexis Smith, Megan Smith and Abigail Smith. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 7, 2021 at 4 PM in the First Baptist Church of Ray City with the Rev. Robert Lee officiating. Visitation is Sunday from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Myers will be transferred to the Cumberland Funeral Home in Monteagle, Tennessee for visitation on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 12:00 PM. Graveside Services at 4:00 PM at the Clouse Hill Cemetery in Tracy City, Tennessee with Bro. Joe Phipps officiating.
