Obituary of Margaret Meeks

Mrs. Margaret Easter Caldwell Meeks, age 71 of Tracy City, formerly of Sewanee, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2011 at Harton Regional Medical Center. She was born in Grundy County, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Manuel Caldwell and Nancy Ann Gilliam Caldwell and was preceded in death by her husband Walter Meeks, son Allen Meeks, great-grandson Hunter Ladd, sister Sarah Dickerson, half-sister Mary Lucy Caldwell and brother Johnny Manuel Caldwell.
Survivors include her sisters Barbara Baker, Decherd, Margie Gilliam, Elsie Edwards and Lisa Cantrell, all of Sewanee and Dorothy Mason, Sanford, North Carolina; granddaughter Liza Ladd, great-grandchildren Zackery and Corey Ladd; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Barry Nolan officiating. Burial will be in the Harrison Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Cumberland Funeral Home, 207 Mabee Avenue, Monteagle, Tennessee.
