Obituary of Norman 'Wesley" Green

Norman “Wesley” Green, age 77, of Tracy City, Tennessee, passed away in the comfort of his home and surrounded by his family, on Saturday, April 3, 2021. Born October 2, 1943 to the late Norman L. and Mildie Green, “Wesley” had devoted his life to serving God and his family. He was an active member of Sweeton Hill Methodist Church and loved to sing his song “ You’re the Best Thing That Ever Happened to Me” every opportunity he had. He was a lifetime logger, having owned and operated Green Logging, LLC for over forty- five years. In his spare time, he was an avid hunter, enjoyed showing racking horses and loved to travel. He will forever be remembered as a faithful servant of the Lord Jesus Christ and a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be missed dearly. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of forty- nine years, Mary “Jane” Green and three sisters, Ruby Fults, Virginia Meeks and Betty Green. Survivors include one son, Darrin (Carrie) Green; four daughters, Kimberly (Joe) Nunley, Rhonda Campbell, Debra Anderson and Cindy (Eric) Northcutt; two sisters, Beatrice Kilgore and Clara (Barry) Nolan; ten grandchildren, Damon, Jacob, Jacob Allen, Joe Jr., Cindy, Ryan, Joshua, Patience, Chase and Summer; three great grandchildren, Caston, Caleb and Colten and one great- great grandchild, Issac. Visitation will be held at Cumberland Funeral Home- Tracy City on Monday, April 5, 2021 from 5-9PM. Funeral services will be held in the Foster- Lay Chapel on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 2PM with Bro. John Potts and Bro. Ernest Lockhart officiating. Internment will immediately follow at Orange Hill Cemetery.
