Obituary of Luther Paulk

Mr. Luther Melvin Paulk age 89 of Tracy City, Tennessee passed away Friday, November 25, 2011, in Southern Tennessee Medical Center. He was a native of Montgomery County, Tennessee, a son of the late Luther and Clyde Smith Paulk. Luther was a WW II U.S. Army veteran, was a well known welder during his working years and was a member of Sewanee Lodge 405 F & A M. Mr. Paulk was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Paulk; sons, Ronald Luther Paulk and Malvin Ray Paulk; sisters, Hazel Stokes, Christina Bagwell, and Annice Brown. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Joy and Danny Johnson, Tracy City; his long time loving friend and companion, Juanita Shrum; sister, Mildred Shoemaker of Florida; grandchildren, Shelley Winter, Ryan Layne, Chris Layne and Michael Ray Paulk; 7 great-grandchildren and expecting number 8 very soon; several nieces, nephews and friends. A celebration of Mr. Paulk's life will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at Cumberland Funeral Home in Monteagle with friends and family as speakers. The family will receive friends Monday 5-9 P.M. at the funeral home with a Masonic service to be conducted at 7:00 P.M.. Burial with full military honors will be in Plainview Cemetery. Arrangements are by Cumberland Funeral Home, 207 Mabee Avenue, Monteagle, Tennessee.
