Monteagle, Tennessee – Mr. James William “Buddy” Thomas, 81, passed away Saturday March 20, 2021 at his home. He was born in Monteagle, Tennessee on May 18, 1939 to Robert Jackson Thomas and Hazel Mae Messick Thomas who preceded him in death along with his sister, Barbara Ann Thomas; brothers, Samuel Lee Thomas and Kenneth Ray Thomas.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Myers Thomas; sons, James Wayne, Michael Eugene and Jason Allen (Stacy) Thomas; brothers, Herschel Wayne (Donna) Thomas and Ronald Gene (Cherie) Thomas; sisters, Myrtle (Freddie) Cunningham, Lois (Jarvis) Johnson, Linda Thomas and Cynthia (Jeff) King; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow in the Summerfield Cemetery. Visitation 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Monday at Cumberland Funeral Home, Monteagle, Tennessee. www.cumberlandfuneralhome.net
