Obituary of Bobby Ray Terry, Jr.

Bobby Ray Terry, Jr., age 50, of Sewanee, Tennessee passed away Monday, March 15, 2021 following a long-term illness. Born September 17, 1970, Bobby enjoyed playing cards, shooting pool, hunting, fishing, and most of all golfing. He always had a story or joke to tell and loved making others laugh. He will forever be remembered as a loving son, significant other, stepfather, step grandfather and uncle. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Andrew and Olene Shrum; paternal grandparents, Neven and Mary Elizabeth Terry and step daughter, Ida Layne. Survivors include his father Bobby (Brenda) Terry, Sr.; mother, Sue (Isaac) Parson; significant other of twenty-four years, Lisa Cantrell; one stepdaughter, Samantha (Glen) Kirk; four brothers, Stevy Terry, Johnny Parson, Bill (Karen) Gill and Curtis Gill; and three step grandchildren, Jacob, Ava and Ali. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Cumberland Funeral Home- Tracy City from 3-8PM. Funeral Services will be held in the Foster-Lay Chapel ,at the funeral home, on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at 1PM with Pastor Jimmy King officiating. Internment to immediately follow at Pryor Ridge Cemetery.
