Obituary of Dwight Vernon Totherow

Dwight Vernon Totherow, age 73, of Altamont, Tennessee, passed away in the comfort of his home on Tuesday, March 2, 2021. Born January 20, 1948 in Palmer, Tennessee- Dwight loved his family and dogs more than anything. He had been a Volunteer Firefighter for a number of years, among a list of many other things. His passion was being outside. He enjoyed yard work, gardening, playing horseshoes and traveling up until his health would not allow it. Preceding him in death are his parents, Hugh Totherow and Georgia Johnson; three brothers, Vernon Totherow, George Johnson and Alex Totherow and one sister, Linda johnson. Survivors include his wife of forty-nine years, Dianne Totherow; five sons, Steve (Jewell) Totherow, Dwight “Speedy” Totherow, Jr., Tony Totherow, Don (Carrie) Totherow and John (Liz) Totherow; one daughter, Laura Totherow; two brothers, Anthony (Lola) Johnson and Marty Totherow; five sisters, Tammy Singleton, Cathy Totherow, Rose (Bailey) Campbell, Sue Totherow and Letricia Totherow; sixteen grandchildren, Joshua, Kimberly, Devon, Gage, Matt, Syllvia, Jacob, Briar, Adreanna, Dalton, Shelby, Ashley, Heather, Alex, Tim, Brandon and Baby Michael (on the way); and several great grandchildren. No Funeral Services are scheduled at this time, however the family plans to hold a memorial service to be announced at a later date.
