Emily June Anderson McCullough, 96 passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 17, 2011, in a Chattanooga, TN hospital surrounded by her family. "Aunt June" was born September 28, 1915, in Tracy City, TN, the fourth of six children to the late Joseph William and Martha (Knight) Anderson. She and her husband, Arthur Howard McCullough, were married in 1942 and lived in Cincinnati, OH, where June worked many years for the University of Cincinnati. They returned to live their later years back in Tracy City where they attended First United Methodist Church. Her husband Art passed away in 1979. The past 33 months Mrs. McCullough has lived at Morning Pointe Assisted Living in Chattanooga. Preceding June in death were her parents and husband as well as her sisters, Willie Mae Conry and Madge Baggenstoss, and her brothers, Claude Edward Anderson and Charles Alvin Anderson. Survivors include her youngest sister, Doris Ledbetter, and her niece/caregiver, Martha Baggenstoss Lee (both of Chattanooga), as well as several other nieces and nephews. June McCullough was very talented and enjoyed her quilting and needle working. She touched the lives of many people. The family will receive friends, Sunday, Nov. 20th from 5-8 p.m. at Foster-Lay Funeral Home, 96 Saint Clair Street, Tracy City, Tn. The funeral service is scheduled for Monday November 21, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. At The First United Methodist Church in Tracy City Tennessee.
