Mr. Bobby L. Richards passed away at home, Monday, February 8, 2021, with his loving family by his side. Bobby was born in Bell Buckle, Tennessee on October 16, 1938, to the late Dorris Lee Richards and Alma Josephine Knighton Richards. Bobby served in the United States Army from 1959 to 1963. He received the Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Cold War Service Metal. Bobby also worked for CSX Railway for 24 years. Bobby was married to his high school sweetheart, Carolyn Diane McFarland Richards on June 10, 1961. He was the proud father of four daughters that he loved as fiercely as they loved him. He would move mountains for his family. The girls will tell anyone there will never be another man like him! He loved joking around and making people laugh. Every person who was blessed with knowing him spoke highly of him and loved his soul. Bobby is survived by his daughters: Natalie King, Gina Hobbs (Johnny), Katie Meeks, Nina Seagroves; brother, Ricky (Harriet) Richards, grandchildren , Michelle (TJ) Dykes, Sara King, Jameson “Seth” Hobbs, Olivia Hobbs, Christopher (Emily) Meeks, Ashlon Meeks, Cole Seagroves, Abi Seagroves; great grandchildren, John Tyler Cagle, Allie Willow Dykes and Shayla Dykes; A nephew, Tony Richards and a niece, Kim Turpen. He continued to bless us and to make us laugh until the day left us. In the immortal words and sense of humor of our loving father….Meow! Funeral services to be conducted at Cumberland Funeral Home- Tracy City on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 2PM. Internment to immediately follow at Plainview Cemetery in Tracy City, Tennessee. Visitation will be Thursday, February 11, 2021 from 5:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M.
