Obituary of Grady E. Johnson

Grady Eugene Johnson, age 79, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, passed away at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital on Saturday, January 9, 2021. Born to the late James and Oma Lea Johnson, July 10, 1941, Grady had devoted his life to his family and trucking business. He had a driving history of over two million miles without having an accident. Grady was a fifty-five-year member of Masonic Lodge #405 of Sewanee, Tennessee. He never met a stranger and his witty sense of humor will forever be remembered. Mr. Johnson was a loving husband, father and brother who will be missed dearly. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Tim Johnson. Survivors include his wife of sixty one years, Joan Johnson; one son, Kenneth (Louise) Johnson; two daughters, Taria Johnson and Carolyn Johnson; two brothers, Harold (Charlotte) Johnson and Wayne (Roberta) Johnson; two grandchildren, Sgt. William Tyler Land and Brandy Johnson and one great grandchild, Lillian “Lilly” Johnson Dunn. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Plainview Cemetery, Tracy City, Tennessee at 2PM.
