Obituary of Billy Cochran

Mr. Billy Joe Cochran, age 75 of Tracy City, Tennessee, passed away on November 16, 2011 at Emerald-Hodgson Hospital. Mr. Cochran was preceded in death by his parents A.W. and Hazel Howard Cochran. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Cochran; sons Patrick Shawn (Courtney) Cochran of Elkhart, Indiana, Ryan Travis Cochran, Jasper, Tennessee; brother James Robert Cochran of Vero Beach, Florida; sisters Ruth Munroe and Linda Crowell of Ringgold, Georgia; grandchildren Jessica, Tyler, Kaitlyn, Axl, Chloe and Carman. Bill worked as a Deputy as well as an Investigator for the Grundy County Sheriff's Department under former Sheriff Billy Gene Reid and served as Deputy Sheriff under former Sheriff Robert Meeks. In addition Bill served as Tracy City Police Chief. Bill was a used car salesman, was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing, singing and listening to country music. Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home chapel with Reverend Clayton Jones officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery. The family will received friends from 3-9 P.M. Friday.
