Obituary of H. Wayne VanHooser

H. Wayne VanHooser, age 73, of Tracy City, Tennessee passed away following a brief illness on Sunday, December 6, 2020. Born to the late J.B. and Mary Ledbetter- VanHooser, on December 3, 1947, Wayne had been a truck driver for over forty seven years, with his C.B. Handle as “Slo Gin” people all over the nation knew him well . He was an avid Nascar Fan with Dale Earnhardt, Sr. being his favorite driver. He loved working on his trucks and cars and was always quick to lend a helping hand to others. Wayne will always be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother who lived life his way and taught his younger brothers a lot about life. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Lewis Coleman VanHooser. He is survived by two children; Clint (Holly) VanHooser and Julia (Danny) Christensen; two brothers, Nathan (Carole) VanHooser and Gerald (Brenda) VanHooser; two grandchildren, Shelby and Abigail and three great grandchildren, Shemar, Kamiya and Jaycion. At this time, no further services are scheduled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, however the family plans to hold a memorial service at a later date.
