Obituary of Jean Layne

Mrs. Jean Layne, age 86, of Tracy City, Tennessee passed away Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Manchester Center in Manchester, Tennessee. Jean was born November 10, 1933, in Tracy City, Tennessee to the late Martin and Tennie Church. She is also preceded in death by her husband Lewis Layne; daughter Judy Curtis; brothers, Martin Church Jr., and Clarence Church; sisters, Alice Lockhart and Martha Brown and great grandson Lane Frame. Jean and Lewis were happily married for 61 years, raising her children, and proudly displaying all her family pictures was just a few of her many accomplishments. She also loved gospel music and sewing Sewing drapes and bedspreads for her family always made her happy. She is survived by her son Larry (Debbie) Layne; daughters, Debra (Gene) Whitman, and Darlene (Jerry) Seagroves, along with 12 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 20 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. A private service was held with Bro. Mike Rigsby officiating, burial following at Pryor Ridge Cemetery.
