Obituary of Oma Lee Morrison

Mrs. Oma Lee Morrison, age 84, of Tracy City, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Life Care Center in Redbank, Tennessee. She was born on November 24, 1935 in Pelham, Tennessee to the late Frank and Emma Reed Meeks. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her grandson, Billy Dewayne Layne. Oma Lee loved gardening and collecting what-nots. She deeply loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Whether she was speaking to a new friend or an old friend, everyone would always be left with a lasting impression of her smile and strong conviction. She was a woman of deep faith who prayed daily and regularly read devotionals. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Roger Dale) Layne; brothers, Melvin Meeks, Gene Meeks, Danny Ray Meeks; sisters, Dorothy Meeks, Joyce Parson, Donna Jo Hoback, Marie Sanders, Brenda Magouirk; grandchildren, Robyn DiAnna Jacobs, Roger Dereck Layne; and 2 great-great grandchildren. Service will be Tuesday, October 13, 2020, 2:00 P.M. at Foster & Lay Chapel with Dr. Clayton Jones officiating, MASKS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING REQUIRED, burial immediately follow at Plainview Cemetery. Family will receive friends at 11:00 A.M.
